1. 2017年发行，吉列尔莫•德尔托罗(Guillermo del Toro)导演，由他及凡妮莎•泰勒(Vanessa Taylor)编剧的片长124分钟的美国电影《水形物语》(The Shape of Water，或中译《水底情深》)，于8月31日获得第74届威尼斯国际电影节(74th Venice International Film Festival)金狮奖最佳影片(Golden Lion for best film)。吴公子与妻应邀于10月10日于达拉斯观赏预演(Preview)，预演一般用来设定电影的宣传策略及部分删改。该片于12月8日于美国上映，于2018年3月4日获得第90届影艺学会奖(90th Academy Awards)即俗称奥斯卡奖(Oscar Awards)的最佳影片(Best Picture)、最佳导演(Best Director)、最佳制作(Best Production Design)、最佳原创(Best Original Score)。吴公子于3月8日自达拉斯飞香港的16个小时的飞机上，二度观赏电影《水形物语》。
2. 吴公子中译电影《水形物语》片尾1时58分起的剧中人贾尔斯(Giles)的旁白及其原文为：“如果我对你说起她，我该说什么？说他们此后过着幸福的生活，我想是如此，说他们过去相爱，如今依然相爱？我确信是如此。但是当我想起她…伊利莎…脑海中唯一浮现的是首诗，由几百年前的恋人呢喃着。‘无法觉察你的形状，我发现你围绕我身边。你的存在使我眼中充满爱，使我的心谦卑，因为你无处不在。’”(If I told you about her, what would I say？ That they lived happily ever after？ I believe they did.
