那年的我十二岁，游在秀朗桥下的秀朗溪，
跟着岸上唱机的黑胶唱片唱《加尔维斯顿》
十九年五月四周一日的越战于我只是首歌，
歌中的他在战场，思念爱人及加尔维斯顿。
今六十四岁的我于驾车前往途中唱给妻听，
加尔维斯顿只是我们搭乘游轮的港口，啊，
战争远了阴影犹在，昔时的我也跟上船了。
